Master Kipling started his martial arts career in the early part of 1980 with the Wado Ryu Karate System in England where he trained
for 2 years.
In 1983 he and his family immigrated to South Australia settling down in Adelaide to start a new life, he looked around the local area
for a karate club to join, there were many, all different in style and technique, unfortunately they lacked what he was looking for so
he put his training on hold until he found the right system to train in.

His brother in law told him of a studio that he had joined and invited him along to see if he would be interested in an art called Tang Soo Do,
He had not heard of this style of martial art and was interested to see what type of training they were doing, after arriving at the studio he
was informed that the instructor taking the class was a Master Stephen Washington and after taking his first lesson with him immediately
decided to join his academy and has never looked back in all these years.
Master Kipling has competed in various local national and international events during his career taking out numerous awards and trophies.
His international qualities and credentials have helped him to be one of Master Washington’s main instructors teaching senior classes at
headquarters.
He has been training with the Asia Pacific Tang Soo Do Federation for 14 years and holds the following qualifications:
In 1997 and again in1998 he was asked to go to the Northern Territory to oversee and help in the running of a studio's with great success.
In August of 2001 he was the head instructor of Adelaide's northern studio for 4 years until December 2005 when a change in his workplace
location made it impossible to continue. Another instructor was appointed and he returned to instruct once more at headquarters.
